Here are a series of example questions I may use when coaching you using the Being Agile GROW model!

Goal Questions – establish where we want to be

  • Being Agile Goal : What do you want to achieve?
  • Being Agile Goal : What would you like to accomplish?
  • Being Agile Goal : What result are you trying to achieve?
  • Being Agile Goal : What outcome would be ideal?
  • Being Agile Goal : What does success look like?
  • Being Agile Goal : Why are you hoping to achieve this goal?
  • Being Agile Goal : Where would you like to be?
  • Being Agile Goal : What’s the objective? What would a key result be?Goal : Imagine we are at a party in the future celebrating you achieving your goal, what are we celebrating?

Reality Questions – understand the current situation

  • Being Agile Reality : Why do you need to act on this?

  • Being Agile Reality : What are the challenges?

Options Questions – exploring the options on how we can progress towards our goal given the current situation.

  • Being Agile Options: What are your options?
  • Being Agile Options: What do you think you need to do next?
  • Being Agile Options: What could be your next step?
  • Being Agile Options: What would get you closer to your goal?
  • Being Agile Options: What could you do?
  • Being Agile Options: Who might be able to help?
  • Being Agile Options: What would happen if you did nothing?
  • Being Agile Options: What has worked for you already? How could you do more of that?
  • Being Agile Options: What could you do? What would happen if you did that?
  • Being Agile Options: What would you like to do?
  • Being Agile Options: What advice would you give to someone else?
  • Being Agile Options: What’s the best option?
  • Being Agile Options: How have you tacked this/a similar situation before?
  • Being Agile Options: What could you do differently?
  • Being Agile Options: If anything was possible, what would you do?

Way Forward Questions – Work out what the best way forward is

  • Being Agile Way forward : Which option do you feel ready to act on?
  • Being Agile Way forward : What option would you like to take forward?Way forward : What one small step could you take now?
  • Being Agile Way forward : What option would be the quickest solution, the cheapest solution, the best solution?
  • Being Agile Way forward : What would be the ideal way to start?
  • Being Agile Way forward : Where are you on a scale of 1-10, what could you do to raise that by one point? For example, turn a 6/10 into a 7/10
  • Being Agile Way forward : What will you do in the next couple of weeks towards your goal?
  • Being Agile Way forward : Are there any other things you want to take forward straight away?
  • Being Agile Way forward : Is there anything urgent and/or important that needs to be acted upon soon?
  • Being Agile Way forward : What will you do now, then what next, and what will you do later?
  • Being Agile Way forward : What can you do straight away?
  • Being Agile Way forward : What can you do to overcome any delays or blocks to progress?
