“Cornwall Innovation Club: Collaboration for Innovation

The Cornwall Innovation Club, ran in partnership with Cornwall Chamber of Commerce, facilitates bi-monthly networking breakfasts which feature inspirational speakers with expertise from all areas of innovation.

Our club mornings inspire ideas, transfer knowledge between industry sectors and create the opportunity to mix with other influential business leaders – encouraging valuable partnership and collaboration between businesses in Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly.

It’s for this reason that our fifth club event focusses on collaboration and strategic partnership between businesses, as a means to solving complex problems and overcoming barriers to innovation. We’ve all heard that “two heads are better than one” and “no successful business works in isolation” and our guest speakers for this event are perfect examples of embracing a collaborative mind-set to make change happen.

The digital tech sector is renowned for collaborating and working together to solve complex problems. Popular collaborative trends within this sector include designing open source products, group hacks and tech sprints. To find out more about what makes their approach to innovation so effective, we’re delighted to be joined by two leaders from within this exciting industry:

Belinda Waldock – Author of Being Agile in Business and Co-Founder of Software Cornwall

Belinda, a leading business coach, specialises in helping organisations create an agile culture and environment which promotes growth, well-being and productivity. As the author of Being Agile in Business, her ‘Being Agile’ approach has been adopted by a broad range of high growth businesses across many business sectors.

Belinda is also Co-founder and Director of Software Cornwall, an industry body which represents a community of businesses, education and support organisations dedicated to connecting, promoting and supporting the growing Cornish tech landscape.

Her background also includes the development and delivery of multiple highly successful European funded programmes, including the growth and development of the globally recognised conference Agile on the Beach.

Wo King – Founder of Hi9 and Director of the South West Internet of Things Network (SWIN)

As a complimentary networking breakfast will be provided, to help us with our catering requirements and to reduce any food waste, we ask that attendees book early and let us know if you can no longer make the event.
